With growing concerns surrounding rapid decline in cognitive health, now plaguing a younger generation; prompt rehabilitation, takes number one place in the strategic resolution of the condition. Equipped with safe rooms and 24 /7 monitoring, daily nursing care, monthly psychiatrist visits in this traquil land, rehabilitaion away from peer and family pressure, at Bethesda, makes recovery and return to earlier path of living, a visible vision.

In a an age of touch to feel, and scroll at fingertips, the society we live in still fails to recognize cognitive decline as the mind hides behind the beauty of a face once treasured with respect and worship. Decline in congnitve health is almost invisible to family and only when discrepancies in character, anger tantrums , danger to self and society flare, do we pick up on an issue that couldve been treated in early stages.

Working with victims of war, rape, drug abuse, social cripplement, addicts to alcohol and tobacco, now with other ailments in hand suvh as diabetes, gangrene, stroke, amputation, have taught the staff here, to pick up from the ashes, a soul, that needs upliftment.

Through patience and perseverance, our Masters of Social Work, apply boundaries and walls, within which, a safety net then guides the inmates through their addictions and negativity, slowly channelling hope and promise for a brighter day.

Healthy meals, early hours, aerobic exercises, group activities, better hygience choices and skilled work encourage our inmates to try and escape the clutches of abuse whether the culprit was sugar or drugs.

Many inmates now, serve as staff here, helping the inmates eat clean food, served on time, giving their days a rigorous routine, a lack of which was the essence of the collapse they faced.

Bethesda s inmates smile and laugh as they understand easy labour, easy expectations, green field work, read from the library to now know a world they once didn't.

we encourage all with cognitive difficulties, from loneliness to depressive phases, addictions to abuse, to come and see a world within our walls, where safety is the prime and harmony is a near second motto.
